Hannah Nour is an Oriental Dancer of the highest regard, having earned impressive credentials in this art form. She has been invited to perform at the White House for President Clinton and Egyptian Prime Minister Mubarak, as well as at the Egyptian Embassy in Washington, D.C.. She has performed for celebrities such as REM, Cameron Diaz, Walter Cronkite, Cyndi Lauper, Martha Stewart, Goldie Hawn, Gloria Steinem, Derek Jacoby, Kate Hudson, and countless others. She has also performed on several occasions for members of Arabic royalty. Movie credits include Steven King's "Thinner,""Fallen" with Denzel Washington, and Zeke Zelker's "Affairs." She has also appeared on Turkish MTV and for Arabic and Iranian Television. In 1995, renowned Ballet Master Oleg Briansky choreographed the 'Danse Arabe' section of the children's ballet "The Nutcracker" especially for her, which was met with great success by audiences and critics alike. She has shared stages with some of the most well-known artists in the dance world such as Ethan Steifel of American Ballet Theatre and star of the movie "Center Stage", Margaret Tracy of the New York City Ballet, Andre Dokukin of American Ballet Theatre, Irina Dvorovenko and Maxim Belotserkovsky also of American Ballet Theatre. In addition to her impressive Middle Eastern Dance career, Hannah is also an accomplished ballet and modern dancer, having attended The Juilliard School in New York City after an accelerated completion of high school in just 3 years (Benjamin Harkarvy, director). Hannah's performances are marked by an innate musicality and graceful charm, making her one of the most sought-after Middle Eastern Dancers in New York City and the Tri-State area. She has been reviewed favorably by many dance critics and in dance publications. She has performed at event openings, in staged theatre shows, in ethnic dance festivals, and celebrity events. In her cabaret performances, Hannah draws upon the technique and discipline refined during her years of classical dance study and punctuates it with elements of spontaneity and fun. Hannah was the featured dancer at the lavish Club Ibis in New York City until its close in 1999, as well as performing in other well respected venues around New York.
