Cher
This performer is based in Las Vegas
Heidi is the premier CHER impersonator with credits that include guest-starring roles on national sit-com, The Nanny, and NBC Variety Show, Friday Night. She has also starred in the award-winning show, Legends In Concert at the Imperial Palace Hotel in Las Vegas since 1990. Legends In Concert has been at the Imperial Palace for over thirteen years and has multiple touring companies around the world. To date, Heidi has been the only CHER impersonator in the entire company which employs up to ten impersonator shows at one time. Most recently, Heidi has been on the road promoting Nickelodeons new television network, TV Land, which hosts reruns of The Sonny & Cher Show.
The highlight of her act includes an audience participation in which Heidi brings an unsuspecting male onto the stage, places a Sonny Bono wig upon his head and makes him sing I Got You Babe with her. She includes a wealth of improvisational skills that can be tailored to the demographic and occupational category of your client. Heidi can portray the 70s Cher with long, straight hair, 70s attire and appropriate songs from the era, or she can portray contemporary Cher with the accompanying costumes and music, or from any era in-between. Lastly, her costumes and patter can be made to fit into any rating from PG to R. In other words, from evening gown to G-string and tattoos! Whatever the audience, she will give them a show they will never forget, and neither will you!
Reviews: CHER CHAMELEON... Heidi's portrayal of Cher has elicited responses running from uncanny to unbelievable to scary. The look, the raw sexy feel is packaged so perfectly it is sure to give Sonny Bono chills. Utilizing a myriad of wig styles and suggestive costumes (and strategically placed tattoos), Thompson becomes Cher on stage. The illusion doesnt stop at the look. Her vocal accuracy is on target...as is her wit and all important Cher-like attitude. One of the highlights of her set is a send up of Bono as Heidi goes out into the audience and coerces a suspect into singing the hit I Got You Babe. A corny wig, an uncomfortable fidget and the edgy feel that comes with unrehearsed comedy make the bit As she dead pans to the audience, using Sonny as her foil, Heidi brings back to life those popular segments from Chers television days. In fact, she exceeds the celebrity she attempts to portray. Her sense of humor is sharper than Chers and her ability to turn a quick phrase makes the set work to a higher plane than if she was but a one dimensional impressionist. |
