Joe was the 1987 CLEO Award Winner, for Best Male Performer in a commercial. (Pontiac's Trans Am) He has appeared in dozens of commercials, most recently, "Snickers," (Competitive Edge) as the Coach, "The Olive Garden," "Mercedes," "SunCom," and an "E-Trade," spot.
Joe's credits include, 23 years of Improvisational Comedy, with such groups as, The First Amendment, Chicago City Limits, Comedy Mind Spill, Comedy Olympics and producing and directing his own comedy troop, "Assorted Nuts." Joe was voted the best "Improvisational Comic of 1989" by BACKSTAGE Magazine.
He has performed in many Off Broadway & Regional Theater productions, most recently, the Musical Comedy Review, "Love Lemmings" at The Top of the Gate. And the lead in Arthur Miller's "A View form the Bridge," at Two Rivers Theater, Red Bank, NJ.
Joe has been involved in many film productions. Such as "Black Rain," "The Hidden," "Bum Rap," B-Movie classic, "Don't Mess With My Sister," and the SUNDANCE Award winning short, "Kings Day Out."
TV credits include, the ABC pilot, "The BODYGUARDS," with Rappers, Kid & Play, Law & Order, The Equalizer, Nickelodeon, MTV, Comedy Central, The David Suskind Show, and, "ABC's After School Special."
Joe has worked as writer, director, and performer for many filmed and live industrial shows. Such clients as, Johnson & Johnson, Coach Leatherwear, US Surgical, Miles, Schering Plough, Glaxo/Wellcome, Sharp Electronics, Osram/Sylvania, Dupont Industrials, JVC, Clairol, Adams USA, Kraft, Revlon, Ramada Inn, SONY, AT&T, Canon Copiers, Park Davis, Godiva Chocolate, Novartis, Otis Elevator, E-Trade, New York Life, Panasonic, State Farm Insurance, CitiBank, Computer Associates, Bayer, Goldman Sachs, Searle/Pfizer, IBM and others...
Joe is currently teaching "Improvisational Comedy" and "The Comedy Workshop" at the School for Film & Television.
